3DS eShop delayed and will launch June 6th in North America.

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
The 3DS firmware update adding the eShop, DSiWare transfer, web browser, and other features, was originally scheduled to be released in "late May." A note on Nintendo of Japan's website reveals that it's going to be released so late in May that it'll actually be June by the time it arrives.

June 7 is now the official date for the firmware update, in Japan at least. That happens to coincide with Nintendo's E3 presentation, so we're now expecting that to be the worldwide release date, so Nintendo can make a dramatic reveal on stage. We're checking with Nintendo, in any case.

Update: The update will come to North America "the evening of June 6 Pacific time," according to Nintendo's website. Thanks to Donald for spotting that.

Going to A-kon actually. It's in Dallas from June 10-12. Hopefully there will be lots of gamers there so I can pick up a ton of Street Passes.
 
I forgot that you can access the DSi shop, so there's a lot more games than I was expecting. :lol But I only picked up Super Mario Land and Mahjong for now, along with the free Excitebike and 3D Pokedex. I may get more points so I can get Shantae, though.

I've also picked up some other random stuff. Zenonia and Anonymous Notes 1 - From the Abyss.

I'm actually already running low on space on my memory card, but that's mostly because I still have a bunch of trailers. But I think at some point I'll upgrade from a 2gb to a 4gb, especially if the eShop keeps getting good games.
 
SD Cards are cheap. None of that Sony Memory Card crap. I bought a 16GB for $16 off of Newegg. I say get one of those. I highly recommend you do it now too. You can't transfer saves over to the new card and you'll have to redownload everything.
 
What? Why not? Couldn't I just transfer the stuff on the memory card to my computer, and then transfer it to another memory card?
 
Nope, I tried and then it didn't do it. I then read the manual and saves won't transfer. Stupid. I lost all of my Pokedex saves. Fortunately, I didn't do a whole lot, so that's all I lost.
 
well Damn >_> it is too late for me at this point.... but I will probably just get a new SD card when this one fills up
 
What exactly do you have? Anything that was played off a cart is saved on the cart. Did you guys download a bunch of stuff off of the eShop?
 
Wow, that is a bummer. I should have looked into it. :( I can't do that or I will lose all my DoA costumes, too. So I will probably just do what Zidart is going to do and get another card and just be stuck switching between them.
