9/11

Actually..the weight of each of the floors building up with each level it fell...I'm surprised it didn't collapse faster.
Its actually basically impossible for it to fall faster. Both Towers were free falling, so thy really couldn't have hit the ground any faster. I saw it all in some video. The assumptions they made just from this were completely stupid, but from what I can tell, everything they said about problems with the collapse itself made sense.

I'm still sticking to my explanation as to why the towers fell the way they did though. They may have not been able to fall faster, but I believe the speed in which they fell was justified with the plane crashing.

I'm going to apply the same rule for this thread as the religion one. Please keep any debating friendly and logical, don't flame other people's opinions and don't let this thread get out of hand. This is still a very personal subject to a lot of people, so please respect that no matter what your view.

And I'm going to have to agree on what Spartan said. Unless you're an architect (and it might even be a strech if you are), you're not really going to know how the structure of the buildings could have reacted to the force of the planes. I don't see any conspiracy at all.

Yeah, loose change was just made up by a couple of kids in college that thought they somehow found out everything there is to know about 9/11. Pretty sad I know.

Yeah, conspiracy theorists are all idiots.
For the most part, yes, but I think its good that the public does scrutinize things like this so carefully. Its almost comforting knowing that if the government did lie or cover something up, the public would be looking over their shoulder, and maybe bring the truth to light.

It's nice that the public scrutinizes things...but I think everyone's paranoid about conspiracies now...so people are just going to scrutinize for the sake of scrutinizing.

Still though, I don't have any problem with it happening. It doesn't harm anyone, and like I said in my first post, its good to have the public scrutinizing things.

i do believe that we didnt land on the moon though
I never quite understood that. We've drawn up entire theories based off of rocks we've gotten from the moon, and there's little evidence to suggest we couldn't have landed on the moon, and didn't land on the moon.

its garbage

we sure as hell landed on the moon

EDIT - conspiracy theories without mel gibson

its coheeds old drummer rapping

Just don't lump us skeptics into the "conspiracy theorist" pile. I'm not an architect, so I question. I'm not a pilot, so I question. I am also by no means a polititian (too flippin' honest), so I question. I guess it's a bit much for me to handle when it comes to a Radical Muslim in the middle of a third world country orchistrating the most horrific crime on U.S soil. I guess it keeps me from packing a bag and going after him myself so I can catch him, and have him drawn and quartered.

Watch out for those black helicopters piloted by Elvis with all the clones of the guys on the grassy knoll that actually landed on the moon...
