A whole new World! Disney wants to buy EA!?!

Disney, the evil empire of adorable cuteness and magical cartoon goodness that saps you out of $25 every time they re-re-re-re-release a DVD or Blu-Ray of one of their films. Has claims from the Wall Street Journal that they wish to buy EA.
 
I thought Madden had bought exclusive rights to everything NFL related, thus preventing those ESPN games to ever see release beyond I think 2006 for football and NFL? Wouldnt that provide potential problems if they even did buy them?

Disney buying EA seems like a huge longshot! I dont know if I would even benefit? Although Disney buying the studio that made the ATV series resulting in the amazing Pure. But I dont see anyway that Disney would buy EA>

Because Disney is a business and businesses want to make money. With EA they own the rights to one of the biggest third party publishers in the Industry.

By what you just said, then Disney would want to buy out EA, in which case they want to. And on the contrary EA hasn't been going down. By the titles alone this year, EA is on a rise and will continue as the financial year ends. Why not buy out a company when they are on the rise and get more revenue as the year goes on?

Take Two just released two huge hits in the past year, Bioshock and GTA IV. EA wanted to buy them out but, Take Two was like: "No merger for you".
 
Yes and immediately after GTA their stocks fell down bigtime (not in relation to recent credit crunch).

I wouldnt think EA would let itself be bought since it does have those 12-16 games that have sold over a million copies this year that they keep boasting about in every press release. EA is one of my favorite companies. Hopefully the deal doesnt come through.
