All purpose GTA: San Andreas thread

Word is the pirate version is DIFFERENT from retail and pirate version has some problems like loading and retail is dvd9, not sure on details tho. but to enjoy the game best you'll have to BUY it, :)
 
I'm definately buying the game - on my way home from school on Tuesday.

I don't really believe in piracy (especially games that I'm buying within a few days anyway) and have no way to, nor care to, pirate games on my systems.
 
My friend has the strategy guide. He counted over 100 cars, each of which are modelled much better than any car in VC. The draw distance is 3x further, global area of the game is 5x larger, and there's tons of new features.
I'd list them all, but I've not even seen half of them yet.
 
Im just shocked that GTA:SA is so vulgar! I've never witness a game that had tons of profanity! Plus its funny as hell! :lol
 
Yeah, that is very true. I especially enjoy how the cops are so corrupted and don't really care about all the crimes that Grove does (cops in the story, not the wanted level cops.) I mean, just asking not to kill any more cops and taking some of the illegal alcohol from the Grove seems just a bit too little of a punishment. Real life, they'd be jailed right away.

acually you haven't lived in the ghetto have you? there proably paid off to leave them along, like in real life. Theres much more going on then you could imgaine and if they were well knowed cops wouldn't touch them but lot of members would get killed.

game is great btw not perfect as some reviews would lead to believe and style is wearing a little thin so i hope to see a different style and new GFX engine!!! in next game but shall do well.

It does? I didn't experience any lag whatsoever when I was playing, does it do it because of the massive sprites on at one time?
 
It might. Usually happens to me when there's numerous explosions in a single place, while the sun's setting and people are shooting, etc. Only when it's bogged down by the stuff.

Occasionally happens when I drive faster than the game can load the textures and whatnot for the place in front of me. That seems to happen almost all the time.

2 player really kills it when there's a lot on the screen.
 
You know what? I"m sure they could have. They also probably could've put in less swearing overall, but if you listen to rap music, the "n" bomb is in there, so are all the others. I guess they tried to make it as realistic as they could.
 
  Ack, I'm over it, who cares. I guess I just have to realise that games are getting more similar to movies and movies have been saying that stuff forever. It's like playing the movie Menace To Society, I swear to God Eazy E is this game :lol
