That makes me sad. The Tales series rocks! I know some people didn't get to play Tales of Symphonia because it was on GC and not everyone owns GC, but Tales of Legendia is for PS2 and it freaking rocks too!!
Seriously guys.
For people who worry about game length, Tales of Legendia is easily an 80+ hour game. It is separated into two parts and the first set of credits roll about 30 hours in, so some people who perhaps didn't play the game long enough might not even know that there was more to it. But after you finish the main quest you get into the Character Quests, which are even longer than the main quest!
The main issue is that the Main Quest has full voice acting while the Character Quests are only voiced during battles and in select cut scenes. But honestly, it doesn't take anything away from the game, IMO. The voice-acting is all well done, although one of the characters sounds a little too similar to a character from Tales of Symphonia, so it's kind of weird.
Tales of Legendia features a real-time battle system, similar to Tales of Symphonia, although they did add a few things like throws.
The characters are all pretty likeable and the story, while typical saving-the-world rpg fare, does have its high points. Especially during the character quests, where you find out the stories of each of the characters.
Anyway, if you like rpgs...you should at least check this game out.
