Animal Crossing: City Folk

MegaDrive20XX

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
It will be ready by the end of this year! Hurrah! I can't wait! "Wii Speak" add-on let's you VOICE CHAT with your buddies now on Animal Crossing!

I'm hoping, praying, they bring back the NES games!

I still like my idea. Get an arcade in the City and access your VC library from it, along with having some titles be bought from Animal Crossing at a small discount(100 points).

Fantastic news, Animal Crossing is going to cater to Animal Crossing fans for sure.
I honestly don't know what to say. I mean, this is what you consider a quality post?

A Quality Post Consists of the Following Elements:
A. Something that relates to the main topic
B. Something that brings something that is either unstated or provides a different viewpoint of the thoughts expressed OR
C. Voices a fact or opinion that relates to the topic

My post has done all of that. I dont see what wrong I committed.

There is nothing wrong with Starry's post; in fact, I see the logic behind it clearly. He's saying that, unlike some other games, the developers behind AC:CF are actually catering to the desires of the fans of the game, instead of ignoring the fanbase and focusing on other groups of gamers (casuals? :P)

Makes total sense to me, and I completely agree. I'm glad, as a true AC fan, that they're actually giving things we are /wanting/ this time around. Voice chat FTW!

>.>...ok...

well the thing is im supposed to get a wii sometime and this game will be the first one i get for it maybe exect super mario galaxy and the one that comes with it

Take this example then.

Many Fallout fans feel that Fallout 3 isn't catering to them.

Holy wow, the aquarium is massive. Maybe there's around 100 fish now, as opposed to 55ish. And presents are back, thanks to the globe design again. I like the new clock design as well.

Like Animal Crossing Wild World, you'll be able to play in a living, breathing world where the days and seasons pass in real time but in City Folk you'll also be able to visit a new urban area. Here you can catch a show at the theatre, check out the sales at Gracie's boutique and go to the salon where you can change your hairstyle and get a Mii makeover. Yet, you mustn't hang around town for too long or the neighbours will miss you.

The other major development in City Folk is voice chat. Using Wi-Fi Connection you can invite up to three friends to visit your town and you'll be able to chat to them with the new WiiSpeak microphone. It sits on top of your sensor bar and picks up the conversation of everyone in the room.

And of course getting to know your neighbours is very important. Animal Crossing is all about befriending your animal neighbours by exchanging gifts and favours.

As always there is so much to do in Animal Crossing and your activities change according to the season. So you'll be able to catch fireflies in summer, go trick or treating on Halloween, hunt for eggs at Easter and build snowmen in winter.

You'll also be able to pass the time going fishing, shopping or simply collecting stuff including bugs, fish, fossils, art, furniture, clothes and accessories.

One thing is for sure, it will keep you going for a long time. Take a look at the trailer now...

New interview with AC's creator, including some interesting stuff. Mainly, keyboard support, Wiimote or Note/Nunchuk control schemes, the ability to download your Wild World character to AC: CF to use, the ability to download your City Folk character to your DS to bring to a friend's house(if you don't have Wi-Fi), so you can play in his town(can't play together, though), DLC furniture and whatnot, another option for Wi-Fi-less people where you can go to McDonald's or whatever and download some DLC to your DS, then bring it back to City Folk when you get home, and what's probably the best news....the DLC will be 100% free.

Now for bad news. It does not come packaged with WiiSpeak. It's a price thing. A large scale headset that can ignore speaker noise and pick up voices from such a wide radius takes a decent chunk of money, and it isn't profitable to package, since not everyone will use it. It'll probably be anywhere from $20-$30.

The question is... will the "DLC" already exist on the game, or not? Remember ACWW had Nintendo letter-only items, but after looking into the game's source they were already coded into the game from the start so they were not truly DLC. Same with Layton.

Does it matter? Most people wouldn't get it without hacking anyways.
