Anyone played Silent Hill 4 yet?

As the title says.

I'm not sure if i'll get it or not because I still need to play the previous SH games, but I hear it's a completely different story so I guess it wouldn't hurt much.

As for anyone that's played it, what's it like compaired to the others?

I haven't played it yet, but the ratings didn't seem as good this time around (mediocre 6's) which IMO is odd for the Silent Hill series.

At least I guess I found it odd.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting scores to be great because of the change in gameplay. You know how fans are with change...

I played it, it was ok. I think it would be worth playing at least once for the story.

Haven't heard any hype on this game yet, and SH games usually do well. Is it not too good or something?

I played it like 2 months ago. The game is weird as hell, the first part had me confused the entire time! I didn't know what the hell was going on, it was all weird. The controls for it kind of suck though, feels all stiff and hard to move around. Graphics are awesome though, everything looks real.

i heard it's pretty mediocre compared to it's predecessors. like the story really drags. this coming from two people who played the first three for many hours, so valid enough for me
