Are Any Of You "Texting" Junkies?

I AM! :D It's the only way to get a hold of someone without calling them during important stuff like having a life or being at work :D!

Let me guess Mega. You Twitter as well.

Texting back and forth with a schizophrenic might prove interesting don't you think? You'd never know who the hell your talking to.

I hate to use my phone too often when not needed... but that never seems to be the case. I've texted people just the hell of texting, when it wasn't even necessary.

I don't use my phone, I've got almost $100 of minutes built up on it just so I don't lose them and get my account shut off.

Schizophrenia isn't multiple personality disorder. Schizophrenics may hallucinate or be completely out o touch with reality but they don't have multiple personalities.

And I text a bit, but I'm not really a junkie.

It's not? Well then I've just been "Schooled".Thanx Spartan. :)

I'm a psych major, its kinda my thing :lol

On topic, I don't text a lot in volume, but I use it enough that if I didn't have it on a day to day basis it would be a big inconvenience.

Granted, the root of the word Schizophrenia literally means "split mind" but clinically refers to a psychotic disorder rather than dissociative personality disorders.

Bonus: DSM IV TR online classifications: http://www.behavenet.com/capsules/disorders/dsm4TRclassification.htm

True, which is probably why so many people confuse the two.

I wouldn't say I'm a junkie, but I certainly prefer it to talking most of the time.

I hate how all cell phone plans give you minutes for talking. The smallest amount my carrier offers is 500 minutes and I don't even break 100 minutes most months. I literally have over 5,000 rollover minutes.
