dont think there is a thread about this yet so here it is :D this is basiclly a thread to discuss the Day-z mod for arma 2
 
Great game, can be slow, can be full of trolls, would be killer if several could actually find each other and roam around together.

i heared that fox (creator) was working on a sort of teleportation where you could instantly teleport to where one of your friends were, not sure if its true though theres alot of romours going round
 
that would be awesome. right now you either spend half an hour working towards each other hoping not to get wasted or kill yourself over and over again until you're close to where your friend is. I wouldn't mind the killing yourself part if you didn't lose your items. Even if there was a neutral zone people could port to, I mean I don't need a full party system, that'd probably take away from the over all point of the game, but a way where a few could get together, or find a partner online.
 
I usually bandit it up. And its funny cause people are actually nicer to me than people with the fresh spawn skins.

Except the noobs always try to KOS me but if i'm not lagging that's not happening.
 
You know, I tried it once and it was just to real. I play games to relax, not to freak out. No sir, I want to be able resurrect with most of my faculties intact. And those zombies, talk about nightmare fuel...

It depends on the mood for me. I can play for relaxation or as a challenge or whatevs.

But they broke it for me till stand alone anyway so...
 
Naw, they are slightly similar in that they both have open worlds and zombies, but they are still different.

War Z is also the more...Casual version, if you will.
 
Yup, DayZ is really only for seriously hardcore gamers who don't mind losing everything every time they die. War Z is more like a standard pvp mmo, which in my opinion is a lot more fun. Saying they're the same is like saying Call of Duty and Battlefield are exactly the same, you can have more than one game in a given genre.

Yeah this. Exactly this.

I still prefer DayZ. I randomly met up with some dudes earlier in game and we bro-opped for about an hour and tried to counter sniper but we got split up.
