Assassin's Creed Sales Numbers are Crazy!

My friend bought this game a week or so ago (because of my advice, might I add) and I finally got around to playing it the other day. This game really is frickin sweet. Everything about it is frickin seamless, there's nothing that jars you out of the experience or reminds you you're playing a videogame, and no matter what it is you're doing in the game everything is fun. The way you control Altair is perfect, the controller doesn't feel like a medium you are forced to use to enter the game's world as much as it feels like a natural extension of your body. Altair just does what you want him to do, even when you panic you always seem to push the right button thus performing the correct action to get out of the mess you found yourself in. Interacting with the people around you and with the environment itself never feels clunky as though you have to play by the game's version of reality.

I don't own this game, and I only played it for a little while, but I was definitely very impressed with it. I don't know how long the game itself is, but because it's so open-ended I would think it's as long as you want it to be. Playing Gears of War on a projector, playing Halo 3 online, and just playing Assassin's Creed have been the best "next-gen" experiences I've had.
