La Pucelle is a great game. I've already gotten through the main story and am starting to go through all the side areas and bosses. If you liked that have you tried any of the other Nipon Ichi SRPG's?
 
Xenosaga is in my eyes...the prettiest piece of work I've seen on the PS2. It has such an amazing story and I love the futuristic setting. Although the story does get confusing at some points :-\, but hey, that's why they have sequels. :D

Xenosaga and FFX are very close in my eyes. If you like futuristic settings, then definitely go with Xenosaga.
 
How is Xenosaga 2?

Stupidly enough, that one got released over here, but not the first Xenosaga. Meaning that if you play Xenosaga 2, you're completely lost in the story.
 
Well Xenosaga is pretty amazing...They tried new stuff with the combat system in the second one. It didn't get very good reviews and is actually in GameInformer's top 10 disappointments of 2005. Xenosaga 3 is coming soon and they said it's going to be one of the best games out there. It's kinda weird. The same person that made Xenosaga is also working on Xenosaga 3. They handed it to someone else for Xenosaga 2 unfortunately. The whole Xenosaga experience is awesome tho. I recommend that you at least rent it. Also, if you need the story from the first Xenosaga, I'd be happy to type it all so you understand.

Well there is still some very promising rpg's headed to ps2, such as Metal Saga, Atelier Iris 2, Grandia 3 {we'll see!} and one other by Level 5 {Dark Cloud series} which looks amazing. The best I have played for ps2 would probably be Front Mission 4, Dark Cloud 2 and Wizardry:Tale of the Forsaken Land. Right now I'm trying to get my hands on Nocturne. My local Gamestop got a whopping 4 copies of this game and the real kicker here is, I had Nocturne in my hands ready to buy a while back and I decided not to get it lol.... :-\

Not at all, I thought X-2 was waay better than X. And I also heard excuses like " Bah, the main chars are women!" and "It's a feminist game." Lol I don't want to get started on that one lol but I am a guy and I loved X-2.

As far as for PS2 I'd have to say FFXI but since it's online some people may say it doesn't count so Star Ocean: Till the end of time
 
Meh, no offense but what the heck happened to Final Fantasy? Seriously, I played the new demo for FF12 and wow, pretty lame. I know, I know, it's just a demo so I shouldn't base judgement. But, I think with FFX the series took a turn for the worst, as in, it's too mainstream. Now they want to appeal more to the whole Ashley Simpson/Madden crowd, if you get my drift..Ah well, it's a business and they follow the money, not the die hard fans, which is a shame. Don't flame me if you love FFX cause I did play and beat the game so my comments do have merit :lol
