Best Single Player Game (EGA's VGA's 2008)

This game distinguishes itself from the rest by engaging the player intellectually and intuitively to provide an experience that defines the purpose of the medium, and is exemplary in its execution of that purpose. The technical components of the game perform flawlessly; the game’s world, characters, and story are all well designed; and the emotional journey the player goes through as a result is both rewarding and contemplative. The winner of this award must boast meaningful substance and thematic content that is complimented, not hindered, by its gameplay and technical ability.

MGS4 is most likely going to go down as one of the most cinematic and emotional stories ever to be told in any form of media. Therefor taking my vote for Best Single Player Game.
