Better This Than That

Just the same now as it always was, some parents believe that video games aren't good for children.A lot of parents today say that their children don't go outside and play as much as they used to,a lot of parents blame video games for this.In my opinion, home video games are a huge reason from the immense decline in Arcades where danger can lurk.

Truthfully,I'm not a parent, but it is 2008,there is a lot more dangers out there than there were before.Personally,if I were a parent,I would most certainly rather have my child at home in front of the TV for hours on end as opposed to being out at 3:00 in the morning hanging out with people who they think actually care about them.

What's your feeling?

That's pretty accurate.

That reminds me of something else.

In some people's eyes, going out to clubs and getting dead drunk or getting stoned isn't seen as pathetic, but playing videogames is. You know the type, you post about something and they go "Stop playing games, go outside, get a life," etc.

This stigma is generally accepted as true even on some gaming boards.

If that's what "having a life" is supposed to be, well...I'd rather play video games and be pathetic. :D

Not that I have anything against people getting drunk. I just don't do it myself.
