Beyond Good & Evil 2 in pre-production?

Hmmm..... I liked the first game a lot. This sounds like good news in a way. I say that because I am assuming it will be for the either the PS3 or 360. And I do not have either one.

I have the first one, but haven't played it...

I have a bunch of games I haven't played, actually. :-\

Beyond Good & Evil, Killer 7, Okami, Dead Rising, Kameo.

This summer I will have to play through them all.

Console exclusive?

The first Beyond Good and Evil was multiplatform. I don't see why they should make a sequel console exclusive. That would mean that some people who want it won't be able to get it. It would make more sense to keep it multiplatform.

If only the people with Dragon Quest had that same idea about their upcoming sequel which is going to the DS right, oh and Monster Hunter for the Wii...the world would be a better place.

Yeah, but I've heard it more talked about with the GCN version, neither of the other two, so I've always felt it made the biggest splash there.

Monster Hunter is made by a Japanese company, and Japan has awful 360 sales. One console down. They originally had it for the PS3, but the high development price combined with the lower than Wii sales eventually made it slide over to just the Wii. Dragon Quest is also getting remakes of IV, V, and VI on the DS, so needless to say, Dragon Quest fans will have a helluva day with those.

Isn't Beyond Good and Evil done by Ubisoft, no?

And since Ubisoft has had such success doing games multiplatform you can expect it this one to be multiplatform.

That too. :)

I'd probably get it for the 360, though.

Ubisoft is slowly becoming the next EA, they are just all over the place now with these creations.

a sad loss for monster hunter and dragon quest, I guess ill have to bite the bullet and get it on nintendo systems (more wii games, hey hey hey)

Well according to Kotaku, there's something about it being PS3/360 only.

I would have gotten it on 360 anyway, so it's not so bad, but that's a bummer for Wii-only gamers.

The Wii always gets the short end of the stick when stuff like this happens, sadly. I'll get it for the PS3 for the obvious reasons if it comes out. That means I'll have to get the first one too...

Well it isnt like Wii arent used to being shafted by the "quality" games. If that proves true, I would at least get to enjoy my Mario games in their massive numbers of sports arena games :) more than playing some silly Beyond Good & Evil 2.

Ubisoft's gottena little better with their console ports to PC, to start. Assassin's Creed, for example, actually has graphical settings beyond changing the resolution, and the game actually runs good (save for one area, where it frame skips for no reasons). That, and I've actually heard positive responses about the keyboard and mosue controls, as compared to, oh, Devil May Cry 3 and Resident Evil 4.

Funnily enough, I just played Beyond Good & Evil for the PC (Ubisoft just put it up on Steam for about 10$). Good game overall. I was actually satisfied with the mouse and keyboard controls, save for vehicles (the camera goes haywire with the mouse sometimes).

Im just curious but for only 8.99 is that a good enough price to warrant Beyond Good and Evil a purchase from um Steam, I might wanna check it out if that is a bargain.
