Blue Dragon discussion

There's a Blue Dragon demo on the XBL Marketplace.

It's funny because they only mentioned it in passing. I would have thought it would get more coverage considering it comes out soon and it's one of the bigger jrpgs for the 360.

On the other hand, having a demo is probably better advertising than anything they could say at a conference. ;)

I believe so. I haven't checked, personally. I'm just passing along info from the IGN boards, which I'm a member of.

Yeah right after Microsoft's E3 conference, I went on marketplace and lo and behold, it's on there! I'm downloading it right now. They also have the entire conference for free on marketplace as well.

Is this game worth my downloading time?

I'm playing it right now. It's incredible! I'm having alot of fun. You get to choose two areas and you can play for an hour each. I just faced a really cool boss battle. :D

Jiro looks like a total spin off from the great saiyaman, but otherwise the game is pretty fun.

Yeah, but the game characters are designed by the DBZ designer so it's really not that weird. Oh and by the way, welcome to our site tyree. :D

Thx Strubes, No wonder every one looked just like DBz Characters

Re: Blue Dragon demo on the XBL Marketplace now

EGM's latest issue reviews Blue Dragon.

6.5, 7.5, 6.5

It has neither strong characters nor gripping storytelling and the battle system is "stellar" but unaccompanied by any sort of interesting plot to hang your hat on. Bryan is a bit easier on the story than Andrew Fitch (who had the lead review), and Ray called it "safe."

Play magazine gave it a 9.
+ Gorgeous graphics, (mostly) briliant soundtrack, great quest.
- Too easy.

Hmm...well the best review is your own...so Idk...I want Eternal Sonata...I just don't have the time (almost on my way out for work) to see which comes out first. If anyone can post the release date of Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata so I can make a quick reference to it when I get back, I'd very much appreciate it. :)

Blue Dragon comes out first. August 28.

Eternal Sonata is September 17.

Thank you. I think I'll get both. If Blue Dragon is so easy, I'll just beat it within 10 days or so...depending on how much I get in to it. Then I'll play Eternal Sonata. :D

Well, I don't think I'll end up picking this up. If I play RPG's, I'll usually stick with my CRPG's, and a JRPG usually has to have rather exceptional reviews for me to buy it. So, no Blue Dragon for me I guess...
