Neo Geo CD Breakers

Kanji

Blast away and go, go, go!
I love this game... very cool characters and graphics for a Visco game.

For some reason, I am really getting into the oddball fighters that came out for the Neo, to little fanfare.

Breakers, Savage Reign, Karnovs Revenge... just too cool.

I'd like to get Breakers, but it's a rare game, and I don't really want to spend the $60+ that it goes for. If I could ever find a deal on it, I'd grab it though (maybe around $40 or so)

I think I will wait until I find a good deal... but not long enough to have a hard time finding it.

I have never seen this game under $80.

If you guys find it for under $60... I will pass out :lol

There's a guy on Ebay sellin it for $60, but then you have to pay for shipping from Japan

Conditions -

Case - B
Instruction - C (Water damage)
CD - B
Spine card - SEE PICTURE (none)

Plus $15 shipping....

$75 for a damaged not complete game = not at all a good deal.

That is true...I would bet there are virtually no US CD versions of Breakers out there. Do they exist?

Breakers was released in US, yes. I'm not sure how rare and/or expensive it would be though...I'm primarily a Japanese collector.

Nope :lol

Am I wrong? I could have sworn that it had a US release on CD...

I CAN verify that it is not a Japanese language only game. And since it has english language when played in US region mode..I would assume it was released in the US as well...since the Japanese language only games were not released in the US.

Does that make sense?

CD players can be proud of Breakers: a CD game that costs more than carts... Breakers in MVS format can be found as low as $15...

Too bad there isn't a CD version of Breakers Revenge (I know it only has 1 more character, but I liked Saizo.... :D)

yeah ... that does make sense... but doesn't brikinger translate?

I could be wrong there.
Dude... if only I could get my hands on a US Breakers :lol

@ rainman... so you like breakers, eh? Do you think its worth it on the cd system?

Actually, I own it in MVS format: the game itself is really good (the one big fault I can find is that the blows, even normal punches/kicks, deliver so much damage that rounds tend to finish in a blink!!!), even if $60 for a 10 years old game are a bit too much, IMHO.

However, being an old game could mean it has very short loading times. The cart's meg count is 210, so I suppose the loading times can be similar to Samurai Shodown 2 (202 megs), World Heroes Perfect (226 megs), or KOF '95 (250 megs).

If you find it for around $30 definetly grab it! It's fun to play and a real good game for 2D classics fan.

i'd ;ove to get my hands on Breakers. but gonna get mnost NeoCD fighters before it. trying to collect all of the fighters. only have 13 as of now. but hey. I'm loving my neo-cd. I got Karnovs Revenge yesterday. really fun straight forward fight. people say its boring but I enjoyed it.

welcome to the boards Neo cd jack! We hope you enjoy your stay :)

The Neo CD is a really cool system. As I said before... its a shame that most of the Neo community disregards it and pushes it aside. Hey... I like every Neo system.. I Think they are all great in their own right.

I would like to spend more time with breakers as I haven't got to play it a lot yet.

Thanks. and yeah NeoCD is very under apreciated. I love mine. only got 13 games on it for now. but I really wanna get all the fighters that where released on it.

Just won an E-bay auction for Breakers (Japanese Neo-Geo CD). Excellent Condition with original Spine.

$57.00 plus $12.00 shippping (EMS) I will report more on it once I get it.

I'd like to pick up Breakers someday, but I think the cash vs the amount of time I'd spend playing it isn't worth it. I like the fact that most of my Neo Geo CD games I got for around $20-30. The only ones I paid much more for were Metal Slug, Twinkle Star Sprites, Pulstar and Crossed Swords 2
