Hi All,

I'm posting this thread with respect to the "360".I was at a friends house the other day.He was in his room playing "Blue Dragon".We started talking,and for some reason,his 360 just shut off for no reason.Trying to turn it back on,but to no avail.It's interesting,because my brother has been through 4 360's due to complications.What's the deal with this system?

My take is the people pushing the engineers to get it done and out into the market.Do you have an opinion on this?
 
I'm on my first. It depends, they rushed them to market and they had a lot of hardware flaws, and most of the ones they send you in return are nearly fixed ones others have sent in.
 
Im not talking about software developers.

You do to need developers for new technology. I guess you could also call them engineers, designers, inventors, dreamers, etc.

You would need to develop the technology in order to actually make it work.
 
For God's Sake,What's Up With The 360?!

Hello Members,

Last week for the 4th time my brother's 360 burnt out on him,a friend of mine at the club had the same problem.I have a PS3 that's about a year old and knock on wood,it still works fine,I have also never heard of any problems with the Wii in this respect either.So what's up with the 360,and Microsoft's poor work?I mean,these systems don't come cheap,what are your thoughts?

Mine's not going to last very much longer. It's my first one and I got it in June 2006. I can't play some games for very long, it overheats.

The 360 is crap. I'm not a PS3 fanboy or anything, but it is obviously the most superior system, with the Wii having crap kid games besides the Resident Evil games and a few choice others. PS3 has free internet, sleek look and better games(not a halo fan). All my friends 360's have died and come on, at a 360 demonstration, one of the consoles got the ring of death!! I leave my PS3 on for days and never heats up...

Come now... that may be your opinion, but there are people at this forum at actually enjoy playing the 360 (myself included). I know I and at least a few others wouldn't want a topic like this to devolve into a pointless fanboy argument, so can we keep from calling other systems "crap"? I know nothing's happened yet, but it's only a matter of time until someone responds calling the PS3 crap due to x reasons, starting a flamewar.

You're fine to like the PS3 and even state reasons why... just please don't call the 360 crap. It's essentially baiting.

i actually want a 360 i heard the newer ones have less problems, and i have not problems so far with my wii

The 360 does have a higher failure rate than the average consumer electronic device. Microsoft themselves have admitted this much, hence their decision to extend the warranty on the system to 3 years from 1 year.

It sucks, but I still think the 360 is a solid platform. Two of my friends own 360's and both of theirs work fine. XBLA is definitely sweet and there are many good games to be found on the 360 (outside of Halo). Its a powerhouse of a console and isn't priced much higher than a Wii. XBL does cost extra, but the cost is reasonable and the online service is the best out of all three consoles right now.

There are definitely a lot of reasons to own a 360 right now, in spite of their failure rate.

yep i agree with that there are many sweet 360 only but i think ps3 has better on-line and whatnot and i like wii games as well but the 360's rate failure it isn't as high anymore and it has many games on it

Don't you mean in terms of system life, though? Due to RRoD, yes, RRoD is crap... but otherwise, you enjoy the 360, yes? Well, Manson was calling it crap for more than just the RRoD; at least, that's what I infer.

I love the thing, and my entertainment setup wouldn't be the same without it.

Mai and I each have a 360, our first one that we got jointly had RRoD one hour in, on launch day. :'( We got a replacement (via exchange, on Black Friday no less!) from a different serial batch and to this day no problems with it. Mine is an Elite, so it's relatively new, and no problems with it either.
