Buy the Warranty

360 is unreliable. Everyone else I know has had no problems, but mine has the ring of death. Thanks MS, I really appreciate it. Worked perfectly fine until just recently, when you put out your "amazing" update.

And now, right at the pinnacle of gaming, when one of my most anticipated games ever is less than a week away, I get screwed.

Buy the warranty or buy the console when it's life is about up. I did that with my PS2, and while I heard about the chunky PS2 dying a slow horrible death from varius friends, my slim PS2 is humming along just nicely. :D

damn, that sucks man. I'm sorry to hear that :( Microsoft was claiming there was less then 1% of people having this problem. Which made me think "How can you get less THAN 1%?? that's like telling people "There's 1% less sugar in this cola"...it's a friggin lie.

However, the majority of people who had their 360's glitched...was because they modded their consoles...

Because they are more complex. That means there are more parts, and the more parts there are the more things that can happen to go wrong.

It started out just fine, but recently (after the update) it seemed to have a horrendous freezing problem that lead to the ring of death.

Quite amusingly, I was following Microsoft's steps to resolve the problem (removing the hard drive) and that's when it bricked. Good deal guys, I love the reliability.

Specifically moving parts :)

I don't have a 360 but I'm really looking forward to Gears of War. I like chromehounds too

I always buy the warranty. I bought it for the $59.90 through Microsoft that came in the 360 box for 2 years. Definitely worth it in case something happens.

Yeah, but I got my Premium 360 for $250.00 off a Friend New, so I could not get the EBGames Warranty.  I have the EB Warranty on my Gamecube though.  As soon as 2 years are up, I will drop it down the stairs and get a new one or store credit back  :D

I got my brand new Premium from Amazon for $308 shipped due to an error on their site.

Wait... they don't back up your Xbox 360 if something gets screwed with their updates?!

$308 shipped?  when was this?!  is it still messed?  :lol I'll buy it for that.

Bv :hat

It is a good deal, but apparently they got the last laugh...
It's not Amazon's fault that Microsoft is absolute trash and doesn't know how to make a reliable product.

I do, however, plan to call Amazon and have them fax a copy of my receipt to Microsoft, since MS feels the strong desire to "conveniently misplace" the copy I paid $3.51 to fax to them on Sunday. I think I'll have to go end the life of J. Allard if they keep trying to screw me out of a replacement, which won't be pretty.

My friend bought it for her fiance and when they broke-up she sold it to me for $250.00 rather than give it to him. So, their break-up was my gain! :lol
