I think it will run, the specs say it all it needs is a 64 mb 3d accelerator for your video card.. so it should be able to handle it, the recommended is 128 though

you're well ok with your processor and you have the recommended ram so i think it would be ok

any more info on this game? Im looking more into it.

I'm also looking into it. The only negative thing I have heard about this is that the games take a LONG time to play. I'm talking like, 10 hours or more. There is a "play by mail" option for multiplayer games which is pretty cool.

But there is nothing but praise for this game from professional and customer reviewers.

I'm thinking about getting it because I love strategy games, and this looks good, but the time factor is a turn-off.

Basically, it's a turned based strategy game where you take on one of many civilizations and play through the time periods. I wouldn't consider it like many other strategies though because I think this game has a lot more depth to it. It actually isn't all about war. I'm not sure about the 4th one as much, but there is resource management, special city placement techniques. basically every tile in the game give different kind of bonuses, so you don't just plop down cities anywhere. You actually have a religion factor in the game that actually influences your opponents, and can actually cause city flips to your side.

It actually goes a lot furthur in depth than that I think, but those are the bare bones. The Civ series is a really great game and I'd suggest it for anyone :)

I should be online on Civ4 soon too so we could probably get some games going here

On another note, from what I heard in the 4th one, they actually made the micromanagement stuff less tedious than in the 3rd.. so if that was one of the main problems with the series for someone this game should be a lot more appealing.
