Anybody else watching this case on ESPN? They're both obviously telling lies, and told them to federal officials and investigators. I'm just wondering what the final truth will be.
This case has made me lose any and all faith in baseball. Clemens has been my favorite player, since 2001 (when he went to the Yanks), and I thought he of all people had some integrity. Apparently, I was wrong.

Agreed. I think these guys would actually look better in the long run if they just broke down and told the truth! For example Rafael Palmeiro was a great player who tested positive for steroids. What was his defense? "I don't know how steroids got in my body". After that I lost any respect for him, whereas if he had just told the truth like a real man, I could have forgiving him.
It doesn't really matter if we think he's lyng or not, but with what's been going on in baseball currently, it's pretty much a done deal in the jury thinking he did do steroids.
People like Barry Bonds and Jason Giambi. Look back to McGwire.
Clemens lost all integrity when he demanded to be traded from the Jays because he thought he was better than everyone. It's a team sport, check your ego at the door, and play the darn game. Especially when they're playing the game the honest old fashioned way and relying on talent and practice instead of drugs to make them better players.
MLB should just comes out and tell the players that if they fail a test, they get fired. Period. End of discussion. I am at the opinion that Clemens and McNamee are both lying.
It's funny that many people don't understand that the best defense is to tell the truth. At least if they were forced out of baseball, they would have their integrity intact.
