I have a small problem that i've been trying to figure and but cant do it. I installed Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars on my laptop but every time i try and run the game it randomly closes. I can get into the opening menu but once actual gameplay starts, the program will shut down. After that i get a retarded messages that says "a problem caused the error"....well no shit.... I was wondering if anybody know how i can correct this problem so i can play the game?

Im pretty sure that you cant run it on your laptop period because i tried that too and the laptop had the same card and everything just a laptop verson of it

i think the game cant run on laptop video cards
Laptops arent really meant for newer games really...

Crash to desktop is a common problem, but its usually software related not hardware. Try updating your graphics card drivers to the latest, and see if you can find a patch for tiberium wars that is standalone (doesn't install while the game is running).

Also disable any random software you have running in your task bar while you try it out, you'd be suspired what can conflict. I installed the new version of skype and after doing so found myself un-able to play left4dead while it was running. Stuff like that.

And of course, if all else fails, google the problem and check the developers website. Me and my friend play tib wars a bit, and he runs it fine on a sony laptop.

As Rodney mentioned, drivers can make all the difference. Update everything to the latest versions by visiting the website of your laptop's manufacturer and stating there (if it uses custom drivers for anything, like a specific resolution your laptop monitor supports or any off-beat hardware in there and also for BIOS updates) and then moving to the hardware manufacturer's websites for the absolute latest drivers (Intel/NVIDIA/AMD for chipsets, video, etc., Intel/Broadcom/etc. for wireless/wired networking, stuff like that).

you can go and look up the specific Specs on websites

I think your easiest bet is to look it up on Wikipedia

its off to the right
