The elite had been confirmed already...

It's not a fanboy, I think the PS2 is the best true system if you're a fan of great games. I said that because Mai didn't include it.

I dont think thats debatable, the ps2 offers something for everyone... and a lot of it

Auron, did you mean to say "I don't think that's debatable, the ps2 offers something for everyone...and a lot of it" ?

You know, in some ways that is true, but I also have to disagree. Anyone daring to call themselves a true gamer will want to play Nintendo games, am I right? If there is someone out there who does not like at least one Nintendo franchise, I have yet to meet that person. And while I'm sure some would disagree, I personally don't feel that there are games on Sony or Microsoft systems that really compare to Zelda, which is my main Nintendo franchise fandom. Shadow of the Colossus and Okami were close but they were not "Zelda killers."

Well, a bit of personal taste is involved. Everyone has a different opinion. ^_^ So let me rephrase that.

I personally don't feel that there are games on Sony or Microsoft systems that really compare to Zelda, which is my main Nintendo franchise fandom. Shadow of the Colossus and Okami were close but they were not "Zelda killers," IMO.

And also...to be quite honest I have not finished Twilight Princess so my comparisons are to Ocarina of Time.

Yea sorry.

I would consider them both to be better than Twilight Princess, so "Zelda Killers" is a fair statement.

Same. Twilight Princess bored the hell outta me and seemed more like work than play, i've never played Ocarina of Time, Windwaker didnt float my boat and the old school Zeldas didnt either, I really dont see whats so great about this franchise actually...

The Legend of Zelda franchise is to me a niche franchise. Not all gamers will like it. I actually love the very first Zelda. It is fun in it's 8-bit way. As for this one, I am really interested in getting the Game Cube version of this game mainly because I don't have a Wii. But maybe I'll wait for a used copy... :lol

The Zelda series will always be considered great because some fanboys people will label it as such simply because it's a Nintendo game, or because the series once had a 10/10 game back on the N64. ::)

Well, heres my two cents on it (worth even less cuz I don't even have either system). Pretty much my thought is get a 360 for now. Personally, I am very supportive of Nintendo and was never very excited about Microsoft. However, the 360 has over a year head start on both the Wii and PS3, so it already has a decent library of games. Just as someone stated they bought a PS2 and haven't touched the Wii, or someone else said to avoid the waiting game, I agree with them. With all the games, its easy to pass the time.

I believe that Nintendo will eventually get a solid line up, however with the new interface, some developers might be scratching their heads. So for now, most of the games are pretty gimmicky. Of course, if you like those games, go ahead and get the Wii now. But I'm assuming a majority of people here want the "serious" games. So yeah, for the fact of the backlog of games, a 360 is a better bet for now.

I don't have much confidence in the Wii lineup after the hrrible Gamecube lineup... but there's a good 4-5 games that are must buys for me especially Super Paper Mario

Please, please, PLEASE try Ocarina of Time. The problem with TP is that it had quantity instead of quality. OOT has both (Far more of the latter) and far better music. I wanna play it again just for typing about it. :D

Well I don have an N64 and dont plan on getting one just so i can play Ocarina of Time.... wait a minute, didnt they release it with Winwaker once for the Cube cuz then I could play it on the Wii

Obviously. Square isn't even in Nintendo's league, it just wouldn't work. Oh yeah and, April Fools was 10 days ago, just in case you forgot. :)
