Black Widow is there to be a master infiltrator and can gather intelligence for the team before they strike.

Hawkeye is supposed to be there for coming up with strategies but he's been underutilized in the movies.

Widow is the most useful of the two. Thor and Hulk are just muscle, they're useless without any brains to guide them.

I like the way they used Black Widow in the first movie. She would put on a front which would draw the information out of the individual she was targeting.

Since I last replied here, I watched the first season of Daredevil and man, it's good. Highly highly recommend. There were some good twists towards the end. It just feels like they went all out on season 1 and it will be tough to top it. I guess what's-his-face from Walking Dead (Shane) is supposed to be in season 2?
