Do Companies That Make Video Games Keep A Copy For Themselves?

Hi People,

Someone once told me that companies like "Marvel" and "DC" Comics keep a copy of every comic book they make.Is it the same way with video Game companies such as Capcom for example.Do these companies keep a copy to put in some sort of archive,or for any other reason?

I'm pretty sure they do. I know Sega does.

I cant believe I missed the sell around that time that SEGA was selling some of the games in their store room ,I wish I could work there, lol.

I cant find the other image they had that had the awesome Sonic head hat in it, lol.
 
i thought that, at least at most places, the people who work there or develop product get to keep it for themselves...no wait, doesnt Nintendo of America have like a Nintendo World Store in the actual place where the people work? I guess they just let them get employee discounts instead of free ware.
