Does Having A Small Collection Of Titles Make Someone Any Less Of A Gamer?

Yea, I doubt that about the mario kart thing...sorry :D

Ask BV, Spartan, and Mastermario... I spanked them all in Double Dash...16 games in a row on 150cc...and my mom is better at the game than I am.

Doubt all you want. It doesn't make it less true. :P

No, it's called being poor. :p

As much as I would love to buy more games, it's not that easy for me right now. I have a tiny collection compared to alot of people in the forum and I would like to think I am a true gamer...
You are a true gamer. Some members are much better off financially which helps when you want to buy more and more titles to add to their plethora of games that they want to play, but never do.They sit on the shelves and collect dust. It's like chess players.I knew a cat that owned over 200 chess books, and never read a single one.

If you love to game, then you are a gamer.Who cares how many games you own.Do you think that just because there were other players with more championship rings than Michael Jordan made him any less of a player?I can assure you,his passion for the game never diminished.

Kaz, if you knew that, why'd you make this topic?

Just wanted to see everyone's point of view on the subject.

@Thrav.I was wondering if you could help explain the "Build Up" option in Dark Cloud.I'm not sure I get it.

You can build one weapon up into a more powerful weapon if you have the stats.

I agree how many games you own doesn't mean jack now I suppose you could come up with some ridiculous hypothical about someone who has been claiming to be a gamer for over a decade and ever played 2 title or or some other wierd thing. But in the real world if your claiming to be a gamer your a gamer gaming is a hobby and meant to be enjoyed. Frankly if anything I think alot of the self proclaimed hardcore gamers are the ones who need to wake up to what gaming is they may have the alot skill and understand the games well from techincal aspect but they have forgotten the true purpose of gaming to relax and have some fun. I'll get off my soapbox now.

Also GamingMaiden another prime sports example is Dan Marino not having super bowl ring doesn't change that he is one of the all time great quarterbacks.

No, but having a low gamerscore does.

O.o what if you just own a couple games, yet you get all the achievements in them? You'd have a low gamerscore so you wouldn't be a gamer?
