will it be Donkey Konga 1 or 2 that hits the United States?

Will it actually come with the controller?

When will it hit. Every source I have looked into do not agree with each other, am curious what you all know.

Donkey Konga is coming out in September. It will come with 1 bongo controller.

Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat (totally different game from Donkey Konga) is Q1 2005.

i didnt hear much about this game but it sounds really stupid....can someone change my mind :-\
isnt this the one that you constanly beat on drums to beat the game? never been a big fan of DK, sum1 explain this "series" to meh

yeah....  I'd like to hear more about this game as well... can anyone inform?

I hear its really fun though... maybe I am wrong :lol
If I can get one of my buddies to post here... he knows 1st hand... as he owns the game.

Anyone know a cost as well?

I'm guessing $60, since it comes with the controller. Controller separate probably $15-$20. I might buy this game for my little 8 yr old neighbor, but it doesn't look very good/interesting to me.

The release date is September 28 and the price, surprisingly, is only $50, and that includes the bongo drum controller.

Think of Donkey Konga as a version of DDR that you play with your hands on drums instead of with your feet on a dance pad. It's rhythm based, meaning you have to match your beating on the drums with the arrows on the screen. Along with classic Nintendo themes like the Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros, Donkey Konga also includes songs from current pop culture artists, such as Blink 182.

Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is a platformer that you play by using the bongo drums from Donkey Konga. Tapping the right drum makes DK run...the faster you hit the drum, the faster DK runs. Clapping makes DK jump.

DK Jungle Beat sounds a lot stranger than it plays. I saw this game at E3 and let me tell you...it's really really cool. It's probably one of the more innovative games shown at E3. It's one of those easy to learn, hard to master kind of things.

I think they both sound cool, especially Jungle Beat. Konga will just be cool for the fanboy in me to play all those Nintendo songs. And Blink 182? That's awesome.

I'm gonna get both, although Konga will probably come out xmas time here and Jungle Beat...who knows.

I think from the pics and that ive seen, it looks pretty good, and Fun i think i would buy it.

although Konga will probably come out xmas time here and Jungle Beat...who knows.
A right pain in the ass that we have to wait so friggin long for anything its not fair

yes... I have to say that sounds incredibly fun :)

I am pumped.... but broke :lol

Right now I'm saving for a new computer, this ones a piece of crap. I set aside a little cash for games, but I'm thinking about getting Tales of Symphonia. So no, BV, you can't have any cash. :D

I just found out something interesting: Namco is developing Donkey Konga and Nintendo is publishing it. Veeeery interesting. Namco is doing a lot of collaboration with Nintendo lately. This is good! :woot

I saw a commercial for Donkey Konga on the internet. By the end of the commercial I was in stitches because the people playing it all had these dumbass smiles plastered on their face and it looked like the gayest thing ever. They had better have a different one for us or just not advertise it at all.

I hate stupid commercials. They ruin things, like lives and such. Especially with bad acting or an addictive jingle. I hate having a little tune like that in my head.

I don't think it would be wise for them to not advertise. That's what half of Nintendo's problem is: the best and/or most interesting games don't get enough promotion. Look at Eternal Darkness.

I saw a bajillion ED commercials back when it first came out, it was just the commercials in general really didn't tell you what the game was about. It just showed some gameplay footage and said something about "going insane".

I sw a few good commercials for ED, and it looked interesting. I bought it and had fun playing it. But it is true, a lot of the good games you just don't see advertised. Why? They advertise some that are no good, but the great get left out.....

I loved the Wind Waker commercial :)
that was just downright SWEEEET!

as for stupid commercials... I never saw it but I heard the mario sunshine commercial was stupid :lol :lol

Who releases these commercials?

Nintendo used to always have good commercials. Seems like the need to get a new ad team :D

then again..... smash brothers commercials were hilarious... as was the mario party 5 commercials :lol

Nintendo just needs more commercials...period.  I only see the Ps2 and Xbox doing ads out the wazoo... but never Nintendo.... well.... even Xbox has toned down on the ads.... besides live.

I think Nintendo advertises a lot more in Japan, but that's just a hunch I have. I hate Nintendo's commercials. They never show you any gameplay, there's always just people dressed up in mascot uniforms, and aside from the SSB commercials, it was usually stupid. I liked the MK:DD commercial, but it still didn't show enough in-game stuff. I can't even remember the Wind Waker commercial, but I do remember the Zelda: MM commercials, now those were cool. Once again, more gameplay footage would have helped, but those commercials made MM out to be some great epic adventure.
