Doom 3

I really got into Quake. Mouselook was such a vast improvement over the original Doom gameplay. Doom 3 was so cutting edge when it first was released. I still think, along with Silent Hill, that Doom 3 is one of the most startling games I have played.

Granted, I have only played about twenty minutes worth of Dead Space.
 
Dead Space? I think that's the 3rd Person reimagining of Doom 3, is it not? :P

I love how Doom 3 got trashed for being outdated. Perceived to be little more than a linear, corridor shooter and here we are in 2011 where Call of Duty & Dead Space are gaming's hottest properties. :lol
 
Doom got criticised for it being not like the originals. You know all actiony and yes corridor filled and not darkness filled survival horrory type thing.

But it was still a good game.
 
i have recently purchased this game for myself and must say its better than good as i had said in my previous post. i played it at a friends house before, but now that i am playing the whole game.... its really good :)

That was a joke, right?

Half-Life 2 isn't even fun. Granted, we're getting down to opinion now. But in my experience, Doom 3 was just an all around better game.
