Newish trailer. I heard December of this year for a USA release. I sure hope so 'cause I can't freaking wait for this!

Apparently, we will not see an English edition of this game sometime after APRIL 2010 O.O

Wow, I didnt know DQVIII was their best performing for DQ in the US at half a million units. No wonder they will take their time.

This is definitely my most-anticipated DS game; DQ/DW is probably my favorite series, and finally was able to play V when it was released on the DS (still waiting for VI which is the only other I haven't played yet).

Still thinks it should be on a console. This would have been awesome on the Wii. Oh well.

We were on our last day of our vacation yesterday, driving back here, and I was looking EVERYWHERE for a Gamestop to try to pick it up... didn't find one, but talked to my husband and he went and bought it for me this morning. :D Can't wait to get home and play it! Anyone else have it yet, and any thoughts so far?

Gotta say this is one addictive game! I especially love how containers like cabinets, vases, and barrels respawn... I love the "hero's prerogative" of being able to loot homes. :lol I know tags will be harder to get here in the States than in Japan because of lower population density and lesser popularity of the game, but will be taking it to campus with me come fall semester (I work at a pretty big university) and seeing if I can pick up any in crowded areas at lunch.
 
I bought this game about a month ago and I have to say that it's a pretty amazing game. I haven't played any other Dragon Quest games so I'm fairly new to the series. But I have found it to be really good so far and I'm just trying out the other classes now that I've completed the main story (I only focused on being a Paladin beforehand.) I'm still finding it a lot of fun.
 
I been meaning to pick this up for a while. I'm pretty addicted to part 7 on the Playstation right now. Dragon Quest 6 for the DS is already available for pre-order. It's a remake of the Super Nintendo version which was highly rated.

I can't wait to get VI! :D As I mentioned, that is the only one of the main series I haven't played yet.

I wish they'd make another Monsters game, not like Joker (not that I didn't like that as well), but like 2 on the GBC-- the random key worlds gave it incredible replay value.
