I bet PS3 owners wont be "retarded" when they're playing Heavenly Sword, God of War 3, Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XIII, Devil May Cry 4 etc.

100% true. With all those out, I doubt people will be calling PS3 owners stupid.

The Gamestops here originally had it at $125.

Back to topic...I guess since Halo 3 owns September...and this thread...PS3's not gonna do much.

lol just saw that one. I've already said that September won't be good for Sony because of Halo 3.

Yeah, totally Dart. No Dart, I'm kidding. I thought maybe everybody had learned to pick up on my obvious sarcastic tone. No, people who buy PS3's are not retarded. I myself will probably get one once it goes down in price and gets some good games.

Oh I get the sarcasm. Notice my sarcasm in response to your sarcasm. Or something.

No, I asked for my money back because I was not going to pay the $130.00 for it.

I understand. But my point was if they retailed it at $89, and took preorders, they should have honored that price even if they marked it up. because that's smart business. Make your customers happy by honoring the original agreement.

I was being sarcastic about you thinking I wasn't sarcastic.

So my sarcasm is endlessly being countered by your sarcsasm about the PS3 "taking over the joint" in September, which obviously will not happen in the same way as the PS2 layed the smackdown.

And that is me being seriously sarcastic. :D

And when I am being sarcastic, it would help if I spelled correctly.

While also simultaneously having this sarcastic conflict with you about the first time I was being sarcastic.

confirmed for 360 8)

Wow, you totally killed my argument by pointing out that one of the games listed will be on another console. ::)

I also forgot Assassins Creed, so that can replace Devil May Cry 4 if you're picky.

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

I hate you, lol.

But my point is that you can't say the PS3 wont have great games in time. There's going to be loads if the PS2 was any indication. That's an argument you can't go against.

But meh, I'm not a fanboy. I like good games in general and regardless of the console it's on.

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

Isn't it odd that some are saying that the PS3 will take off this September, and Phil Harrison says that the PS2 will have at least two years left in the console scene. Does anyone else think that this will hamper the PS3's rise to potential dominance?

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

The PS2 still has plenty of life left in it. I always said the next gen came way too early.

Re: September, the month the PS3 takes control

the ps3 MIGHT have a few decent games, but the rediculous price will hold it back, and hold more developers back from making more good games for it

I completely agree. The PS3 would have had a better introduction if Sony held out a little longer. Personally I am getting sick of console manufacturers trying to be first when in reality they should just be content with selling consoles and getting along with their rivals.

In my eyes, Microsoft is obsessed with money. And that's why the 360 debuted when it did. Sony and Nintendo have hated eachother ever since the scrapped deal they had with making a CD version instead of the cart version of the N64.

The price won't hamper it after a price drop. Once the price gets to around $500, it won't be much more than the Elite and people will start viewing it (people other than those willing to spend $600 for it that is) as an option, especially if it gets some of the console sellers.

As for "PS2 still has a lot of time left", yes it does, but had Sony not released their new console soon, they would have been behind by a near insurmountable deficit. Imagine if Sony brought it out in Winter '07. Microsoft would likely have at least a good 15 million units on them, as would the Wii, and I don't think Sony coul make that up, unless they got good exclusives REALLY fast and lots of them. Its will probably take till the end of the console cycle to catch up and, had they waited any longer, they wouldn't have had any chance this generation.

Hm. I didn't notice. But there's a big difference between charging for junk that should be free, and charging for stuff that's worth it. The PS3's $600 price tag is worth it, as Neo has stated over and over again. But being nickled and dimed to death for junk on Xbox Live is kinda stupid.
