I know it's not possible, but I think if it's all someone does..like, all they do is get on to go to the F&G to get posts, than no they shouldn't....but if their a regular and post around, than I think it should be allowed.

I'd lose 500 something, you'd lose 1200 something. I would have you beat the second it gets deleted. At the very least, it should be disabled. I'm not posting in there because they count.

That's why I don't want it deleted. I vowed I'd never let you pass me. :lol
 
I'll catch up eventually. I've got an average of .7 more posts a day than you.
 
As of now (exact moment of this post)... posts in Fun and Games do not count towards the post counts of the board ro individuals.

The mods and I will be pruning posts out of there as well and only leaving a few relevant posts in there.

We feel that there are too many irrelevant posts and borderline spam / crap just to boost post counts.

Feel free to discuss, but this is in effect as of now.

I'm not exactly sure if this has been previously discussed,if so please accept my apologies.If I understand it correctly,you have too many people posting junk in the "Fun&Games" section just for Post Count points.

Once again,I'm still fairly green when it comes to Forums and other Internet things,but it seems to me that the "Fun&Games" section is way too broad and general.The "General Topics/Discussion Section" covers that already doesn't it?Again,my apologies if I'm missing the point altogether,but why not make it something a little more specific by maybe devoting the section to "RPG'S","Sports Games",or maybe even a section devoted to one particular company and their exclusive titles.

Examples:"EA SPORTS","CAPCOM","SQUARE-ENIX","KONAMI".Things like that.

In closing,I'm not a 100% sure if it will work,I just feel that by restricting the section to certain topics,it might help to avoid people posting empty posts just for Post Count purposes.

The F&G section of the boards is for non-specific message board style "games," if you want to look at them like that. A great example is the "Person Above You" thread, where you make a post about the person who last posted in the thread. It's not really a discussion, and it's not about anything in particular, it's a sort of game that's just for fun, hence the Fun and Games section.

Unfortunately, the section has been overrun by several threads which are essentially spam. The whole point of the section is to be broad enough to include things that don't really fit anywhere else, so making it something specific like you suggested, or even something video gaming related conflicts with the spirit of the section.

I understand Stealth,thank you for replying.Just thought I'd toss it out there.
 
well I'm a bit depressed the mods felt that my topic "last one to post wins" was one of the topics that needed to be locked

I never really intended it to be a post booster and I felt it had a bit of merit as game that had both a meaningful objective and some rules
