Fable: The Lost Chapters.

I picked this game up the same day that I got my Game Cube. And I have a question about it.

Is this game designed to be played after the first one is completed?? Or is it a true sequel, and can be played at any time??

And what I mean as being designed to be played after the first one, does it take the game file that is saved on my Xbox and adds to it??

As far as I know it is a stand alone game. That is to say, it is exactly like the first one in every way except they added more of everything. I'm pretty sure it's designed to be played as though you never played the first one.

Its just an expansion because everyone complained the original was too short (it was). So yea play that instead of the original

I got Fable new for 5 the other day on XBX. I was considering playing this.. can anyone give me some commentary on whether or not the game is any good and why that is?

dang... $5?

Bv :hat

Seems okay. I've already bought it, so that's half the battle. The second half is hooking crap up. And I guess other titles that fight for the play time, like Disgaea 2... Maybe in 90 hours or so.. :) But I'd like to try it. Can't go that far wrong for 5 bucks.

EDIT: I take that back. You can go pretty far wrong with 5 bucks, because I bought Ninja Turtles 2 Battle Nexus in the same purchase for the same price, and I went pretty fucking far off the wrong chart with that.

i think i'm gonna pick up disgaea 1 this weekend when i make the trek to omaha. You encouraged me to give this a try

Don't get it if you don't like SRPGs...

But if you like them.. it's so the best.

:lol

My friends and I rented it one night because we heard it was four player. We played it for about 10 minutes (hysterically laughing at the shoddy controls) and then ended up watching the original TMNT cartoons on DVD all night. Even for a bunch of supergeeks who expected the game to be bad but simply wished to play something based on a beloved childhood cartoon it was horrible.

Fable for $5 sounds like a great deal to me. Most people who did complain about the game more or less said it would have been a great rental, just a poor purchase, so you should definitely get your money's worth. Personally it took me 17 hours, but I did piss around a lot.

Open environments were the essential thing missing imo.

But still, 11 hours? That sounds like decent play time to me. I mean, there is replay value to it, and the 11 hours you spent playing it you probably enjoyed.

Fable itself was an amazing game. I never finished it but am hoping to buy the lost chapters instead. Even if the original fable was short there was tons of replay value to it.

I beat it in 7 hours - I like my games to be 15 or 20+ hours or they really ain't worth it

I'm playing the original now. I'm a bit peed off because I punched through a window in my new house and I don't have a clue how to fix it. I'm 100% good at the moment but my friend went totally over into evil and I've got to say that it looked a lot more fun, especially when the ground burned beneath his feet. I think the bow is a pretty useless weapon, could be I'm just impatient though.

The bow is a great weapon to snipe people from far away. I was able to get really good at it and pop bandits from far off. The survivors would eventually find me though, and I'd have to switch to melee weapons.

As far as my character, he's right in the middle on the good/evil scale. It's because I have terrorized some townspeople and I massacred most of the bandits. The bandit camp is a ghost town now. In towns, I have beat up citizens, killed some guards, burglarized houses, and smashed up barrels. I am a real upstanding citizen!!

I got bitten by tons of white balverines and I got really hairy for a while, it's all gone now though. Can you have more than on save at once?
