The one and only
What is your favorite RTS and why? I love command and conquer. Thats the classic and sets the bar very high considering that all the sequeals and expansions are great makes it that much better. I also like the Age Of Empires and AOM game. The games just are great and have the classic elements of a good RTS plus you can learn alittle about history which I think puts you more into the game in my opinion. There are alot of good ones out there which ones do you like and why?
 
Pikmin. Really. Stop laughing. It may not be one of the best, but it's definitely one of the coolest. I mean really, go back and play it, you'll see what I'm talkin' about.
 
I prefer my RTS to be as simple as possible thus my decision is Rise of Nations... Rome was just too out there for me i couldnt understand it
 
Yea, Pikmin is good fun. I liked the second one a little more though, simply because of one of the giant boss spiders would pop up in one of the areas on the 50th day.

Supreme Commander is one of my favorites. Only beaten campaign with one faction, and I don't play fast enough for online play, but still, good fun.
 
This is a tough one.

I definitely enjoy Supreme Commander, as I was a hardcore fan of the Total Annihilation series way back in the day. I actually held TA above C&C due to the absolutely epic scale of the maps. That's not to say that I don't own multiple copies of every C&C game (minus Generals, never got into that one), but I just felt TA pulled it off much better.

From the C&C series, it's definitely Red Alert 2. Hands down, this is a phenomenal game and still one of the most played games at our LAN parties.

Starcraft was always great as well.
 
I want to say Starcraft, but defaulting due to a lack of adequate game time leads me to say Command and Conquer. And the whole nostalgic thing factors in there too.

Pssh, no, Gamecube, but it is an RTS.

Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2
Age of Empires 2
Rise of Nations
World in Conflict

So many...But my all time favorite would have to be Starcraft by far. ^_^
