Favorite Bands

well nick, nowadays there is a genre just called hardcore just by itself and I would classify all Hardcore under that genre and all of Hardcore Punk in just the punk genre since that is what I consider what punk is.
 
I was just saying what my views are on the music genre of hardcore are. I get where nick is coming from but, the word hardcore for music is used in different forms. Like there is Hardcore Punk, Happy Hardcore, Hardcore Techno, and the genre of Hardcore itself. I can see what Nick was trying to get across.
 
Nightwish FTW Fr0dus, but I thought they were "symphonic metal"
 
@Mario: Happy Hardcore is a type of techno.

@Boom: That was me who posted Nightwish not Zi. Lyrically, I find Nightwish to be power metal. As of late with their new female vocalist though I find them to be more of a power-pop rock group...
 
@ fr0dus, lol, im calling everyone Zi lately. I agree with you, but i think both singers are good (Tarja>Anette IMO)

Yeah I'm glad you at least see where I am coming from most people would just argue right away. I can see where you are coming from too.

They are my favorite band, weird being as how I am against mainstream and am into hardcore punk but they are the first band I had listened to and got into.

Haha, they were popular back then but I know not even half as close as now. I enjoy their new message but don't like the music they have behind it as much. I'm talking about the political aspects of some of their new songs that is.

It's not that. It's that most people are all like "No man, they hate America, they are terrible people." when that is not the case at all. They are against war.

That's all the wrong cases to dislike a band. I say that if there is a band that does political songs and you have similar beliefs as the music then that's the more reason to like them, hence why I like Flobots, (hed) PE, and Machinae Supremacy so much, if not then just don't make accusations about the band. Sadly, I just don't like the sound of the new Green Day.
