FFXIII-2? Seems so!

Segatron Genesis... call me the wizard.
At GDC, Final Fantasy XIII producer Yoshinori Kitase mentioned that he is interested in producing Final Fantasy XIII-2, a direct sequel to refine what the team has already built. However, this depends on how well the game performs in the west. He also expressed that the team is very excited to see how gamers respond, they have modeled every object with extensive detail, so you would believe these things are real and existed somewhere.

While I have to admit, I have yet to finish the game (because of my stupid website), I would love to see a sequel from what I have played thus far.

Though since I haven't finished...

Nono, I said I haven't beaten it yet.
I probably would have already if I wasn't working on this site, didn't have college, or a life. :p

As of now, I'm on Disc 2 though. I feel like this is going faster than it should be.
 
I've always thought Square did a great job with the FF series, until I got FFX-2. I haven't played FF XIII, but regardless of how good it is, I don't think it should have a sequel. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
However, if they can manage the game without screwing the story around like X-2 did, they might be able to pull it off.
As of now, however, I'm against it. I say they just continue with a new story like usual.
