Final Fantasy XIII has finally arrived, and after taking a two-week hiatus of playing it since it's release, I've finally taken the time to review it.

The Good
The storyline is one of the best ones that I've played since Final Fantasy VII. (And I'm talking about all RPGs, not just the Final Fantasy Series)
The graphics are spectacular and breathtaking.
The new and innovative battle system will keep you entertained for each and every battle; leaving you only inches away from death time and time again.
All of the characters are actually interesting this time, even the annoying ones.
You can develop your characters classes (toward the end of the game), upgrade your weapons, and a lot of other cool features.

The Bad
There is no worldmap, rendering your path throughout the game to be extremely linear.
There are no NPCs, (that you can interact with), so don't expect to spend time reading dialogue.
A lot of the features don't unlock until you're halfway finished with the game, some even close to the end of it.

The Verdict
All of Final Fantasy XIII's strong points are more than enough to make up for it's weak ones. This game is absolutely spectacular, and I haven't played something this fun in years. You will not be disappointed by this game at all; so long as you're not expecting it to play like the traditional Final Fantasies.
