The makers of HAZE, have to put their awesome suits away. Such a sad Holiday for them :(

Re: "Free Radicial" is for sale. 140 Laid off and company is soon to be gone.

Makers of Haze (unofrtunately), but perhaps better known (and loved) as being the makers of Timesplitters 2, one of the best last gen FPS. A very sad day indeed.

Any time something like this happens, it's a blow to the gaming industry. More companies mean more game ideas. :-\

Sad to see them go, but then again, if they made better games it wouldn't have happened.

Some people just don't see the good in games. For example, Persona 3 sold like crap and it was one of the highest rated RPG's to date.

Yea, I personally loved the Timesplitters series, so this is crappy news.

As much as I'd like to believe that, I don't. A lot of times a company can simply be ahead of its time, or misrepresented by their PR and the media. Even though a company's games are laced with quality, dropping the ball in any seemingly non-essential factor (say something as menial as its release date) could result in less than expected sales, and in a time of economic recession the unfortunate truth is that many good companies with successful titles and franchises simply won't receive funding for future projects no matter how much some publishers might want to do just that.

Especially, as Strubes mentioned, if the company is trying to do something new or different, and therefore more risky.
