I Personally am extremely excited, and I believe this is the perfect direction for the DLC. It's kinda of Liberty City Stories V.2 So this is kinda cool. I dont know much about the Lost Biker Gang, and you hear all this mess on the radio how they are wreaking havoc around the city but you never know why, except that one run-in with Faustin's daughter. But still, they really do need to add some type of customization for the vehicles and better clothes. But even if they dont, the city is never boring, so if they wanna just keep adding stories, it could expand this game for a very long time.
 
That's cool. I guess. I dunno, I think I was expecting something else.

I guess adding more missions/narrative makes sense, but I had always assumed that Rockstar would just add more stuff like you mentioned, cars, clothes, weapons, and so forth. Being as the "story" is one of the aspects of GTA that interests me the least I was hoping they would just add more things to play around with in the city, even adding expansions to the city. I won't knock it too much before I try it, but yeah, definitely surprised to see this pop up.
 
can i just say im utterly shocked at the lack of traffic this thread is getting? has EVERYONE turned in their GTAs?

@ stealth, well with Liberty City stories, they did add the motorcycles, so i have no doubts they will include more things into the city. I was hoping for an extra store or 2. Idk, its still early, thats most likely just a taste of what they have coming. They've had plenty of time to do more than add new missions and narrative. You know R*, they will wait till you get it to even know what the damn thing even looks like!
 
I saw this yesterday. I'm actually excited because now I have more reason to play GTAIV. It's not that GTAIV isn't a good game, it's that there are other games out there that are just as good that are taking up my time.

I actually sold mine back to Gamestop the other day. It was just too boring for me. :-\

GTA doesn't seem to be a fan favorite here. :lol

That is to say, whenever we have threads about games people hate, GTA pops up quite a bit. I don't understand it myself, I still play GTA occasionally (though time for video games at all these days is rare) just because I enjoy messing around with things. Still haven't finished the story though. I think I'm still only about 60% of the way through, despite the ridiculous number of hours I've put into it.

I don't think a lot of people have "turned in" their copies of GTA IV, as I think its far more likely most people here never owned one in the first place.

Yeah, I basically have absolute faith in Rockstar to deliver something spectacular. I just wonder if this DLC stuff is really something they're working hard on, or if its just something they feel obligated to do. I mean, if there is a GTA V in the works (and really, why wouldn't there be?) then Rockstar is not going to assign their best talent to work on the DLC. Its not like I need another reason to keep playing GTA IV, but I'm keeping cautious optimism alongside me as we get closer to this DLC becoming a reality.
 
I've been playing the story again for about a week now and I just realized that your second mission with Elizabeta, the one where you meet Playboy X, you also meet a member of the Lost biker gang named Johnny. He's bald, has a very scruffy voice, and a large tattoo on his neck. Could this be the guy you play as? While driving to the mission area, Playboy X explains to you that the Lost Biker Gang is in the middle of a huge gang war with a new biker gang called the Lost Angels. Could this be the storyline you are going to play? Also, in the mission, you go to a coke deal, but its an FBI raid and you and Playboy hit the rooftops to escape, meanwhile Johnny goes down the stairs. What happens to Johnny? This is all some good foundation for storyline, and I can't wait to see if I'm right on this.
