Hack and Slash Games

I've been looking for some really good ones to play. I haven't played any video games in a while but the other day I played through God of War II again and decided I want to play some more good Hack and Slash games. I was just wondering if anyone knew any good ones I should check out. They can be not well known games or popular games doesn't matter to me. They can be on any system also but just not PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii I don't own any of them.
 
Dead Space ;)

3rd person, Sci Fi horror, and a friend of mine who's played it says you basically have to utalise power tools to fight them off! (there's also a DVD anime of it with bonus cheats :lol )
 
Dead Space is more a 3rd person survivor horror, and holds more similarities to Resident Evil 4 then a hack and slash.

I'm guessing you don't have a gaming PC either.

The best I can think of is Gauntlet, ranging from old arcade (original Gauntlet) up to the XBOX / PS2 (7 Sorrows).
 
idk if it counts but maybe the prince of persia trilogy is kinda hack and slash?
 
Dungeon & Dragons Heroes on Xbox 1. Best Hack N' Slash ever!

Also on XBLA, Arkadian Warriors is a nice one!

Only only said it was due to the "pick up a tool and slaughter your enemies with it" concept :lol Sounds like "hacking and slashing" to me :)
 
The LOTR games were pretty good for simple Hack and Slash fun.

There was a sweet game for the Snes called "Legend" that rocked (at least it rocked 10 years ago, might not be as awesome now).

I loved those LOTR games too.
 
Hack-n-slash RPG = <3

D&D Heroes and both Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance are some of my favorites, there's also two Champions of Norrath games.
 
I read sometime ago about a new "Splatterhouse" coming out,does anyone know when?Also,will it be on the PS3 as well?
