It's now. For all the hype there has been about halo becoming movie, here is exactly what gets thrown down as the trump card to sway the none-beleivers into an ecstatic fray which should get the attention of even those who arn't halo fans.

-Preveiw Spoilers-

It doesn't look much for a story line right there, but when it comes down to it, they've doen a bloody good job witht he depth and detail of the acual movie. They've even reconstructed (thank you Hollywood) a real life Warthog!!! Plus the armour is fully reconstructed to match those in the game, adding even more realism! Now, if the game was played at this detail I'd be worshiping it almost every day i hopped out of the bed.

Not to mention that both the Human and Covenant dropships look very rea with little mistake to their constuct. And the Brutes are just awsome! I just want to see a horde of grunts just to see why marines fear a large suicidal group of them so much. Because the of the realism, while your in the cinema (and I enjoy doing this), you can really get yourself into the eyes of a charctor and see just what it's like on the battlefeilds, for real! Though it may be a tad hard to do, since there isn't trually muc for charctor building. But, this is just a preveiw.

I think this is supposed to come out this year, so eveyone, it's time to get stoked for this movie. This year looks very promosing to me, what with many more anticipated games comming out, Starcraft 2 as an example. I'm looking well forward to this new year! :D
 
If you're going to make a comment Fhq, and say it's lame. You could at least point out your reason for saying it's lame.

More to the point, have you even seen the preview? I know that most Gamebased movies suck, but this one at least makes for entertainment. Perhaps nothing to story, but since they havm't actually based it ON the game, it doesn't need to be Game exact because it's based somewhere else.
 
Halo does not have an original story. Game based movies suck. Movies with a bad story, and judging by the trailer, pretty lame action, really suck.
 
I don't really know what to make of this "trailer." While the production value (at times) seems really high, the actual filming seems kind of, well, poor. I could see this as a trailer used to sell the idea to a production studio, but I don't think it's evidence that the movie is being made as we speak.

I want to believe it will be made as much as anyone, and I think this trailer shows the potential of something in the Halo universe, but aside from having the official gear and weaponry, it didn't seem particularly good.
 
I still remember seeing that a while ago. A lot shorter, but the same thing.

Thankyou for making an actual statement. :D

And I agree on what you said about the editing. But, as said, this is just a preveiw. If it is to be the movie, then at least it'll make something good to buy and slam onthe DVD just for a bit of action. Perhaps not cinema expeirience.
 
Actually, it seems more like a military training ground with Halo vehicles/weapons with random marines shooting at gorillas.
 
It's a commercial for Halo 3. This will not be the movie. Not to mention that it looked horrible. I want a Halo movies as much as the next person but I'm not holding my breath and it will be alright if they don't make one.
