But with an RTS you can always go back again and refine your strategies to make the situation against your enemy different... until you get so pro that it's dull, of cource...

the game will support Xbox Live multiplayer with up to six players as well as two-player online co-op.

Doh _ _ I thought it was co-op up to 6

Tomorrow night at 10pm, they'll have a Halo 3 Tourney and other goodies for this launch!
 
So I got it yesterday as planned... adding the time on for my stalling, as I do when i play games because i like to explore and stuff... I beat it too fast for my liking... 4-5 hours just isn't good enough for an RTS!!! I know it was only on normal, but considering I'm used to operating RTS's for PC, not consoles... I mean, common... aside from that, the game is still quite good! it revolves a pretty darn good story line from 20 years before the Halo Event, there's tons of units, and if you're like me then the achievements you need to unlock will keep the replayability going longer. And battles played in skirmish can take a long time depending on the skill level of the A.I., so battles as such become very fun when there's the max of 6 players (can only wonder what that would be like with 6 human players).

... and I'm not sure about this being known yet... so... I'll put this little random thing in a spoiler...

Call open; all frequency's

[press ENETR to play message]

*message start to play, showing a distressed young man, cut above left eye and dust across his face. Gunfire is erutping from behind him as he yells out the ditress call*

"To any who get this, we need evac immediately! We've been forced back by them! Our squad was ambushed by them during an op. All Elephant's are down and the main base is taken over by them."

*screams issue out and and man falls forward as a killed soldier falls upon him. he forces the soldier off, grabs the gun and fires randomly to his left*

"Our Sargent is down! We can't hold out! Damn it, send help! I don't want to die! Not liek this, never like this!"

*another screams from behind the man* "They're coming over the cliff!"

*the Corporal at the camera stares up in horror, mutters "John?"*

*camera is knocked over, unusual screams fills air followed by screams and more gunfire... finally everything goes silent... the camera is cracked and pointing on a downward angle, but despite being covered by a bloodied hand, it still displays the form a distorted and unknown creature, sprawling across the ground... there is the sound of breaking and the camera footage ends*
 
Well tonight is the night, I'm heading to the launch party with local member, Hylian7. I'll have a camera and should be able to sneak in some photos for everyone :) Any request?
 
Oh, good idea! I'm going to a launch tonight, too. ^_^ I'll take my camera. I doubt anything overly exciting will happen, but you never know.
 
Well me and Hylian7 just got back from the Halo Wars launch. It was actually, very very lonely lol We were the only 2 people to show up during the first hour and on time, until 2 other guys appeared. 1 high school kid with his mother and some creepy "Silent Bob" looking dude.

They had a 1v1 match for Halo 3 (25 kills) and we had a tie! Except Hylian7 legally landed the final strike.

The Collector's edition of Halo Wars is simply gorgeous! MUCH better compared to Halo 3's LE by far! The bonus goodies were freakin' sweet!

Here we (Mega and Hylian7) are with our game faces. Tough, determined, and wanting some serious action...little did we know..it was going to be a very dull and lonely night with 3 GameStop employees LOL :lol

At 10:30pm, Me and Hylian7 are in a grudge match 1v1 in HALO 3. 25 kills for the win, sadly, we were TIED. Yet Hylian7 legally won since he landed the final strike. *Epic fail for Mega*

So he took on the 2 other GameStop employees.

Inside the case, we find another mini-guide book! Same brand too! Which we thought was funny, also, the code for HALO 3 MYTHIC MAP PACK and HONOR GUARD WRAITH TANK! The tin case that holds the disc has 2 sides to it for show-off purposes. Spartans or Elites, your choice!. A mysterious packet with a sticker emblem is included, but what's inside that?

Also included (Not shown) is the 6 special leader cards, I left them sealed since they are very cool and decided to leave them be.

And finally, the "HALO WARS GENESIS Graphic Novel" very lovely little comic book in a hardback cover!
 
I think...I'm gonna have to get this...maybe tomorrow. Won't be able to play it till next week though. Gotta continue a certain other game until Sunday night when I'm crowned top 1%. :D
 
Yeah, our launch wasn't very momentous, either. I got to talk to some old friends, though, so that was fun. ^_^

But yeah, they went all out on this LE. I was opening and going "OMG." Especially since the graphic novel is hardbound! O_O

I won't be able to play it until tomorrow, but I'm looking forward to it.
 
I know! I didn't want to open it, it was so beautifully packaged.

Yet I heard you guys had like 10-15 people there compared to our 5 :lol
 
.. but Mega... despite the Legendary pack (which I admit got my riveted with excitement as I held it within my hands)... I'm still feeling slightly disappointed... I figured that after beating the game now again, mostly on heroic and getting a bunch of fun from Skirmish... I'd feel... satisfied... but I'm not... WTH IS GOING ON HERE!!!!!!

... has Halo forsaken me... or am I muddled up in my own conundrum?
 
I think I'm gonna take this off reserve. It just doesn't seem like anything I'll play past campaign, which is really short. :-\
 
with the hostage rescue? I just scrambled about, lost one drop ship, but managed to establish two bases and hold them off. I could have sworn I got Adam out too, but... the achievement apparently says otherwise (if you don't know about Adam, he's in the building RIGHT up next to the base you can build on the LEFT of the map.)
 
Got it today, played a couple missions, and it is really easy so far. :lol... Can't wait to try through it on heroic and legendary after I beat normal.
