Happy Thanksgiving Everyone

We're not crazy, just punctual. Besides, this way we get a long weekend in October and November (Remembrance Day).
Yeah, we get that too (It's called Veteran's Day...Thanksgiving in October, "Remembrance Day", we need to teach you Canadians how to celebrate holidays :lol), but no day off for it. >:(

We have veteran's day too, but we don't get a day off for it, and there's less emphasis on it because of Remembrance day. If you Americans don't even take a day off to reflect on the sacrifice countless thousands made for our collective ways of life... I'd rather you not teach us about holidays. :lol

Yeah, we should enact a "Rememberance Day" of some kind. Because Independence Day and Memorial Day are just days of hanging out with friends, shoot fireworks and have barbeques, and therefore have diluted the whole meaning. :lol

Geez. I couldn't even keep a straight face... :D

Please, we have like 5 days about that. :lol

That's why we don't get Veteran's Day off (which is the American version of Remembrance Day). We end up getting off for Memorial Day, and Independence Day.

I think we have memorial day, but we don't take a day off for it. We don't have Independence day, because, well, we took a more leisurely route to liberation. In the glorious year of 1982, we took the bold step of getting permission from England to amend our constitution so that we could amend our constitution without getting permission from England. Let freedom ring! - quote Samantha Bee

It's called Canada Day, it's on July first, and it's basically an excuse to have a long weekend, blow up some pretty lookin gun powder, and give our brewing industries an economic boost. :lol
