It wasn't but I got a copy for $10 and it was alright, same thing with Obscure it wasn't the greatest game ever but it was nice survival horror game none the less.

Winston you might want to think about getting your daughter an RPG game like Final Fantasy X or Tales of The Abyss as well it will give her gaming experience a more variety.
 
And yet hes buying a million M rated PS2 survival horror titles?

again, i want to thank everyone for all of your help. you guys seem like tight-knit community of really cool and helpful people. does anybody have an opinion for a game called "rule of the rose -or- rule of rose"? one more thing, we used to play "SYBERIA" on the computer together. that's the game that got me kinda hooked on video games again. did they ever make "syberia" for PS2?

once again i can't thank you guys enough.
 
Rule of Rose was mediocre and looked like it was made in '95, dont buy that one.

Get God of War instead

As for Syberia, they made the second one for xbox, but it was BOOOORING :z

Syberia eh? Arguably the last great adventure game. Unfortunately, that entire genre of games is on the PC only for the most part.

If you are looking for other great adventure games, however, I would recommend Grim Fandango (this one may be a pretty tough find), the Myst series, and Indigo Prophecy, which came out for the PS2, in addition to the PC and Xbox.
 
Personaly I didn't care for God of War but hey that was just me.

Winston Tales of the Abyss is a very good game if you think your daughter would enjoy the FF style game also there are several good RPG's such as Champions of Norrath, Champions: Return to Arms, The Summoner 1 & 2, Demon Stone, Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2.
 
Rule of Rose is a good game but it is pretty creepy in the fact that it shows minor(?) sexual themes for young girls that are young teens. If those don't matter to you (not sure...lol) but other than that, its a good game. :)
