Help with a physics project

ok here is the problem, our project is to create a Roller coaster model where a marble can slide in it, i've been looking all over Google to see if i could get some basic idea of what type of materials i could use or even a good design but all i can find is roller coaster kits which are not allowed.... if someone has some past experience with a similar project would you mind sharing ideas? i really don't know what else to do.

I remember I had to do a project like this back in 4th or 5th grade. I think me and my partner just used like plastic tubing and Styrofoam.

Styrofoam, I cant really remember how that would be pliable?

A different alternative is to buy one of those Hot Wheel Car Tracksets and use the tracks that it has as your tracks for the coaster, and then I am assuming the people stacked the marble up to be the supports?

I think more lucrative idea is to use Fettuccini noodles. They are super cheap and bendable and are smooth enough to let a marble roll on them. Use them as the track to create, make it in a slightly U shape such as this (

so that the marble rolls and does fall off the track, and use the styrofoam as the supports.

We use Fettuccini all the time in class to make elaborate bridges in structure design and for center of gravity analysis. Its excellent.

i asked my teacher and styrofoam and plastic tubing was ok, we don't even need to cut the tube in half but it has to be transparent, but i recently read starrynite's idea and i think i will mention it to my team members, thank you every much everyone

I did this one too, back in the day. I think we found out what works best is foam tubing (I think its insulation tube) and cut it in half. I found these pics on google.

I remember it working very well.
