When you live in such close proximity to other people it would be a reasonable precaution.

Of course, those are the same people who are buying DS Lite's, so maybe their just completely insane? :lol
 
If business is that good for Nintendo in Japan then I guess they've got nothing to worry about. :D
 
Well think about this way, Nintendo is made in Japan, it is a Japanese company, Xbox is amercian, think about how some people in america are about buying american made cars only, and I think Japanese people value videogames more than cars lol, plus Xbox games are more americanized while alot of Nintendo games more geared towards the Japanese culture, that is the intelligent logical way to look at it, but I just say NINTENDO FREAKING ROCKS!!!! :D :lol

Sure it's practically the same thing, but Im sure some of those dont own a DS. Yes even some Japanese. If I didn't have one already I would buy one.

Except the North American market is the fastest growing market for videogames, and is expected to continue growing until it becomes larger than the Japanese market. And it's a lot easier to gain new customers than it is to "convert" them from one system to another.

I still say they're insane. Seriously, have you even seen half of the cartoons that come out of that country!? The cooking shows!? The reality shows!? Tis a strange culture, to say the least.

I 100% meant to add that in. Haha I think I said that in your topic creepin..that if you didn't have a DS...then I can see why some people would want the DS Lite. :lol
 
Some retailers in Japan were giving 140,000 yen trade value for the origanal DS so that those who simply wanted to "upgrade" to the smaller DS need only spend some 20,000 yen.....if they have such a deal in the USA at the launch then I may shell out the $20-$30 for the DS Lite.
