How Much Gravity Do You Give To The TV Quality You Use To Play Your Games?

Of course anyone would take a new current design TV if it were given to them, but does the quality of your TV's picture play a big role in your gaming experience?I've been gaming a long time, and so have many of you.Of course a new TV is better, but I refuse to lay down $2000 for a TV like my brother did to enhance his gaming experience.I still enjoy my games just as much with a regular TV. You?

Godspeed.

Well, that depends. Older CRTs look best on older games and HD TVs look better on the newer stuff. That's why i have both. I just don't have room to set up all the older systems on my CRT. Also, light guns do not work on anything but CRTs. At least not the ones that came with games/systems.

I don't care about HD, but the games I want to play are not made with SD in mind. My hand is forced, I need an HDTV in order to enjoy the games I like. Not because of the increased resolution, but because with it several games are simply unplayable.

Don't generally mind what TV I use. Of course, if it's a small old TV with a bit of speckled quality, I'd vote for having one larger that was per-chance a an LCD. Some games though, I long to play on the best, so when the chance arrives I jack'em into the main TV in the lounge room. Surround sound, HDMI/HD/LCD (whatever it is), perfectly lit room... these are few factors to take for those games with a cinematic set. And these days, there's quite a lot of them out.
