Very interesting! Great idea, IMO. I just finally upgraded to Gold, so that would be nice (depending on what the fee will be).

Not really. Hulu is more for current season shows that don't appear on Netflix. But Netflix has way more to watch than just TV shows. Granted Hulu has movies too but not to the extent as Netflix and not in HD. It's a win-win for the consumer.

Yep, I've heard that they are too. The interesting thing is that I believe Hulu had actually blocked the PS3 browser. Good change of strategy-- go after the gamers, don't alienate them.

So far the strategy is if you want more than the latest 5 episodes of a season for a TV show, then you would have to pay. But it's still going to have its basic free "subscription."

So if you stick with free Hulu, you'll only be able to watch the last 5 episodes that aired. Which is fine by me.

Blame the TV execs who want to get paid for the streaming service. The people at Hulu themselves have tried to keep this from happening, but they got overruled.

Another reason to cancel the cable bill? The Internet-based group that offers network TV shows online for free revealed that Hulu Plus is coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, iPads and iPhones, for $10 a month, with ads.

The Hulu service offers full episodes, seasons and even series runs for many current and past hits from ABC FOX, and NBC.

Hulu Plus is available for third-generation iPod Touches, iPhones — models 3GS and 4 — and iPads now, according to the official Hulu blog. (We don't see it in the store yet; and be forewarned that you need iOS4). It comes to PlayStation 3s next month and is slated for the Xbox 360 in 2011. It is also slated to be available on some web-connected TVs. Currently, you have to request an invitation to be part of the service, according to a company blog post.

The iPad/iPhone version will work over WiFi or 3G connections.

The Xbox 360 version will be available only to paying Gold members of Xbox Live.

Good news for PS3 owners. You do NOT need PSN Plus in order to use Hulu Plus.
