Hello Members,


This dude we hired to paint the garage was talking about "Facebook".He said he hates it with a passion.Other people I hang out with also look upon it with disdain as well.What the heck is the big deal?

No idea. I have a facebook because it helps me keep in touch with my friends from high school.
 
I don't really know why anyone would hate it. I also use it to keep in touch with friends, since they all go to different colleges. A lot of people use it as an immature popularity thing though, competing for the most friends or how many people bother to write on their wall (place where you leave comments). I like it a million times better than myspace, it's not as trashy.
 
Facebook is like myspace and other sites like that. Some people like it, and some people hate it, and some people just don't care either way.

There is nothing really weird or bad about facebook, so it is just a matter of people's personal tastes.

BTW...why did the guy start talking about facebook while painting your garage?

Hi enigma,
Our garage is close to our back yard where the deck is.He overheard my father and I talking about "You Tube" and how you see some crazy stuff on the site.He doesn't like "Facebook" because some people were being quite graphic,and doesn't want his daughter exposed to that or something.I'm not really sure how the site works.

Oh, well...the site isn't really more graphic or anything then any other site online. I mean, people get to have their own personal lil spaces on there...so they choose to do what they please one em...so it depends on the person who made the facebook. It is good that the guy cares about his daughter...but I really don't think facebook is anything for him to get all worried over.

Last I checked, profiles were private and friends only by default...
