I really believe this is the last year for PC gaming...(2008)

Everything is always personal preference, stop bringing that point up.

Hey, I can totally agree with that! I mean, we can argue console vs PC all day, but neither of us are going to change each others minds because we are gonna play what we wanna play regardless :)

Exactly, no one is wrong, and no one is right.

God, I feel like Strubes.

i would buy myself a new game or something :)

I have the Orange Box and CoD4 for PC and Im a competitive PC gamer. Why would I get another game?

precision? mouse and keyboard might have the edge. durability? ease of use? functionality? comfort? controllers top mouse and keyboard in all of those areas.

But when you're playing a game precision counts for A LOT.

Everybody has touched on the fact that the other areas you mentioned are objective. So I won't continue with that.

Someone could be shaky with a mouse and not so much with a controller due to grip, so once again, it's still preference.

OMG! YOU JUST BOUGHT ZACK AND WIKI TOO!
But I've only had one Wii, unless you count trading it in for one with a moving fan(which the first one was actually fine).

That comes with the comfort area that Hines mentioned. It's not preference when the mouse actually has more precision than a controller. That is actually fact and you can measure it by dpi.

I see what you're saying and I can be quite shaky now and then and it's unfortunate, but that's what makes the other players better. Just practice I guess.

And if you're nervous? Sore muscles? Practice isn't the only thing that goes into it.

Yea, I mean, you simply cannot move a joystick as fast as you can slide a mouse around, I don't think it is physically possible. So I guess that is fact. Gamepads will always have their place, though, like for driving games or 3D action games like Ninja Gaiden {can't really imagine that one with mouse+keyboard, lol}. Thank god for the wired 360 controller!

But practice helps a lot of that. The better prepared you feel, the less nervous you'll get. If you have sore muscles, then you're just playing at your own risk and should be prepared to lose.

Of course there are always those occasions where practice won't help you but that goes without saying.

To be honest I've noticed nerves impact a gamepad more then mouse+keyboard, but that is just me :P

Here's why PC gaming isn't dying.

There's a lot more than Starcraft 2 next year. ;)

WAIT... Jagged alliance 3 is coming out?! I thought the original company died off.

awesome.

and Sorry... I'm a pc gamer at heart. The only way you will see PC gaming die out is if the millions of fans stopped buying games... and that's not happening. PC gaming is as strong as ever imo.

If you log onto bnet to play starcraft... there are 68,000 games and 180,00+ players online at a given moment. That's just on BNETS SERVERS!

Bv :hat

Let's not mention that game is going on ten years old now.
