Stepping around here, and I'll only mention this because I'm sure many others will pump out those I could mention anyway, but many may not realise that Kiss are the first band to ever utilise make-up in the style they did. Any band that follow are in some method influenced because of them.

And because I can, any and all Blues started Rock as it is, and therefor, a direct influence for many country, soft rock, hard rock etc, band out there, and from there, some Metal. Though, Heavy Metal itself was born in the Netherlands (I think I remember).

:rockin I believe you've said what you needed to Mariorulez. Iron Maiden is one of not that many bands which either began n the 80's or late 70's, and puled through it to come out into the 90's, and still keep going today without being turned crappy by some of those horrid things that came from the 80's period... And many still love to listen to them and pay heaps just to see them in concert... WHICH HAPPENED TO ME!! WOOH!!! YEAH!! :rockin
 
They actually formed on christmas day of 79 i think it was


but people just they formed in 80

The only bad thing that ever happened to them was bruce dickenson leaving them for a spell

True, he was the best, but, Bayley is still doing his part to keep Iron Maiden rockin'! So it's all good.
