Is Gene Simmons For Real?

Hi Members!

My brother had suggested some time ago to watch "Gene Simmons Family Jewels".I must admit,I enjoy it.After watching quite a few episodes,I'm not really sure if he's cocky or just very confident in himself.He doesn't seem to hold "Marriage" in high regard as some do.He said on his show one time that "...Marriage is the worst financial decision a man can make...".

I have no doubt he loves his wife and children,but why no legal document to say he's married to Shannon Tweed?What's more confusing,is what woman would stay with a man this long without getting him to sign a legal marriage?I'm sure most men,and myself at times,would say she's with him for his money.(Don't kill me female members,I'm just being honest.)Perhaps,deep down,he's bitter due to a previous relationship that went sour.

I'm hoping someone in this forum can tell me if he's for real,or is if it's all for the camera.

I dont see why one would need a legal document to show that youre married, but only for maybe fiscal purposes like marriage or your mortgage for your home, if both people are going to pay for the home and bills.

Legalities, pish posh, lol.

That's why you would want a legal document.
 
There's the notion of, you want someone to be with you because they love you, not because you're married. Maybe that's what he thinks.
 
Considering his wife is Shannon Tweed, I highly doubt she's with him for the money. Same with Gene, he's a famous character in a highly famous rock band. He doesn't need to be married.
